Uteuzi Jimbo — County Select (Kenya)
Uteuzi Jimbo, Swahili for “county select,” is a coffee program, the Regional Select celebrating the unmistakable personalities that emerge from Kenya’s many coffee-growing counties. We’ve found that local variables — wind patterns, soil, sunlight, elevation, and other microclimate factors — shape consistent flavor signatures. To showcase those signatures, these coffees can be traced to the county level and blend lots from different factories within each region based on cup quality and profile.
This coffee is our idea of quintessential Kenyan: clean and lively, bright with juicy green-apple acidity, rounded by sweet vanilla, and finished with a subtle, cane-sugar-like panela note. It’s a focused, vibrant cup meant to highlight the terroir-driven clarity Kenyan coffees are known for.
