Harimau Tiger - Aceh, Sumatra

from $23.00

Coffee Background:

Harimau Tiger

Harimau Tiger — a Sumatran-style coffee with the classic earthy body, but noticeably cleaner, sweeter, and overall higher quality than a typical Mandheling. Sourced primarily for exceptional taste. Wet‑hulling (Giling Basah) basics: ripe cherries are picked and depulped, then typically sold to a collector or broker who moves them to a mill. At the mill, the beans are washed and pre‑dried to roughly 35% moisture over 8–12 hours, hulled while still damp, then finished by drying without parchment to an export moisture level over another 10–12% of processing time.

This is OCR’s second coffee offering from Sumatra, Indonesia. This wet-hulled coffee process from Aceh region knocks our socks off big time with an impressive coffee drinking experience. This coffee is packed with sugary sweetness, pleasant liveliness, and a heavy mouthfeel. Tasting notes include: brown spice, cedar, and sweet plum. Happy Faces all around!
